THE MARRIAGE PROPOSAL (ANCIENT)

He bowed and gently kissed her hand,

She shyly smiled aand looked his way.

With your permisssion fair maid, he said

I'll speak with your Papa today.

She then politely curtsied low,

I would be honoured Sir, she said.

To be your Wife, I will agree,

If Papa thinks you'll be good for me.

.........................................................

THE MARRIAGE PROPOSAL (MODERN)

He pulled her close with hand on rear

She snuggled up and nibbled his ear.

How about it babe, he said

You and me getting wed.

Oh! that's a big commitment Hun,

I'm not too sure about that one!

We'll talk it over when we're in bed

But don't tell my Dad or he'll shoot you dead!!
