'ME' CYNICAL ABOUT MY BOOKSIE FANS?

Booksie has been a total revelation,

My works read by random population,

Readers as few as one or as many as two hundred

And it is true they are often well outnumbered;

You see likes to reads are pretty discouraging

And although at first thought ‘fans’ were encouraging,

Realised quite speedily, as I’m nobody’s fool,

I had messages on my bleeding wall,

‘Please read my book and I’ll return the favour?’

Have to be honest, leaves a bitter flavour;

So now you see I’m more than a bit suspicious,

Perhaps you lot could be a little less ridiculous!

And the ones who think I am digging my own grave,

Well you lot can move on, ‘cos I think I’m pretty brave!
