My Inflatable Divorce

My Inflatable Divorce

Such a sad ending, to something that was full of promise

I never thought it would ever turn out like this

My beautiful rubber baby has told me she wants out

Well, she didn’t actually say the words, but there’s no doubt

what she wants; the problem is we never say

what’s on our minds; no communication is the guarantied way

that leads to the complete failure of our love,

the looming disaster that we both were so afraid of

You’d have thought that just because

she’s such a good listener, we could work it out. Was

I not good enough? That we could work through

anything, I thought was a given; what to do, what to do?

She’s so hard to see through; the case

is it’s hard to know what she wants, with that unmoving face

I can’t read any emotion there; she’s just so damn cold

But, on the bright side, I’m not too old

to start again and meet another lass

but, oh the hassle; what a pain in the a**!

How can I ever meet

a girl who can ever compete

with my pretty blow-up doll?

And will I ever be happy again, at all?
