Sally had been so extremely bad all day!
She wouldn't listen to what I had to say.
She dropped her cereal all over the floor
and my cries of "Please" she did ignore.
She took her crayons and wrote on the wall
and her dolly's hair was longer, if I recall.
Lunchtime it came and she refused to eat.
When she came back in, no wiping of feet.
I finally sent Sally to play in her room
and swept up her mess with my broom.
I heard not a peep from her, not a sound.
My heart it did race and started to pound.
Perhaps I had been way too harsh on her.
She could be dead this thought did occur.
Ever so quietly I opened her bedroom door
and there she was sleeping upon the floor.
