there's a place the cats convene

down where garbage can be seen

bits of fish and chicken bones

pork chops, ham hocks, hot dogs thrown

gonna be some platters set

at the kitty kitchenette

there'll be rodents of all shapes

trapped where they cannot escape

although humans think its rude

feel free here to play with food

torture is good etiquette

at the kitty kitchenette

if its birdies that you seek

we'll remove the feet and beaks

have them feathered or pre-plucked

feast on turkeys, hens and ducks

or someone's cute canary pet

here there are no dogs allowed

only felines in this crowd

we don't care if food's not fresh

sink our teeth in any flesh

you'll find catnip, too, you bet
