I sit in trepidation
Fearful anticipation
Not knowing what’s to come
Then comes examination
And then the explanation
I am numb
I
am blinded by the light
Dazzling my sight
My nerves aflame
And so the treatment starts
Palpitations in my heart
I feel the pain
But at last returns the feeling
Slowly followed by the healing
I feel aware
If I’d only faced the truth
About the wisdom tooth
But I didn’t dare
And so I found myself
Rebuilding my health
On the dentists chair!
