This is a poem very, very loosely based on a true story. A man did indeed bring me a very large frozen trout and plonked it on the checkout where i work. i wrote him this poem as a thankyou, he also speaks in a very broad derbyshire accent hence lots of abbreviations, hope you enjoy it! Wow! I can just imagine that being read out at a poet's cafe where writers share their work. Ebbs and flows beautifully while telling a story.
