'Blue is neutral, brown is live and green and yellow's earth.'
So said the electrician, quite offended by my mirth.
I accept that blue is neutral, but shouldn't it be white?
It's neither one thing nor the other, so white would be just right.
But how can brown be live when it's a colour for the dead?
I'm sure that everyone agrees, it should be flaming red.
And tell me whose idea it was to mix the green and yellow?
I don't want to be persistent, but tell me that, good fellow.
No reply, I'm not surprised, the answer's hard to find.
But I think I know; it's as clear as mud. The designer's colour-blind.
(This won't mean much if you live in America, as I don't know what crazy colour coding you have there)
