Happy Veterans Day!
By Shea Ryhai © 2009
Places, places everyone,
follow the name tags if you please.
You're all in for a night of fun,
so just set your mind at ease.
The pinch on your wrist is nothing,
we don't want any accidents now.
Consider it an accessory- or something,
allow this humble poet a bow.
Before the title of Congressmen*
a lady redefining the patriotic heart.
Seems she would brand everyone of them,
a terrorist tearing our country apart.
And then the man labeled Peacemaker,
whose impassioned to protect Muslim rights.
While running the world like a Quaker
securing an army for his personal fights.
Welcome to Change and Health Care,
please Mr. Veteran pay your medical bills.
So silly of them to consider it unfair,
free government coverage of those barely ill.
But Happy Veteran's Day America,
the only way a white man gets free cash.
Hope the Big House enjoyed its 'musica'
(politically - yes - these lines clash)
What are we thankful for this year?
That the right to bear arms stubbornly holds.
And the nightmare we greatly fear,
that true pride of America will silently fold.
And now to release our "honorable friends",
opps, it appears I have lost the key.
*wink* Just like a politician I can "pretend"
this hand moves quicker than the eye can see.
In case of Emergency exit here (X)
if unwilling to open the door please move.
Although this message is a little unclear,
its intent was to show, not to prove.
