It's a bee's life.

I'm so suicidal. No, really I am.

People become monstrous when I approach their jam!

When I go near them, they scream and they cry

They bawl and they wail and they shriek- but why?

I'm not going to hurt them, I've got no intention

To upset them or to even attract attention.

I try to be pretty with my coloured stripes.

Bright yellow and black, but my kind simply wipes

A smile from the face of everyone we meet!

I'm only tiny. I try to be discreet.

Yet they'll bat me away with their hand

and bend my wings- and I let it stand.

Don't they see? I don't want to hurt anyone!

Using my sting would mean me: pfft, done!

Yet they'll run and they'll jump away from the pain

Only inflicted when they act insane.

I'll only attack if someone tries assassination...

But people are still terrified for the duration.

I'm so suicidal, so sad- and I've hurt my wing.

Ooh, an old lady. I'll bring out the sting.

Goodbye, cruel world.
