“Gerry! Gerry! Get up, my friend it is your special day.”

Robert Sheridan, his best friend yelled at Gervase through his solid wooden door. Gervase Gallagher threw a pillow at the door and yelled back at his friend with a groan, “It must be around seven in the morning. Let me sleep and the day will go faster.”

Without as much as another word, Sheridan bounded into the room. “Come now, Gerry! The early bird always gets the worm.”
“Yes, but that bird will soon find itself choking on, not the worm, but most likely his best friend’s hands.” Gerry sat up in bed, his shaggy blond hair plastered on his forehead and into his dull green eyes. He focused on his dark haired friend. “Sheridan, let me sleep for God’s sake!”
“You know I don’t take well to being threatened.” Sheridan looked over to his friend who was groaning forward on the bed.
“Ugh, go to Hell.” Gerry yelled as he rolled back over and threw the covers over his head, closing his eyes away from the light that had come into his otherwise completely black room when Sheridan had opened the doors leading into the living room of the one bedroom apartment.
“We are well on our way, Gerry. Well, on our way.” Sheridan said as he started looking at the scattered things that were thrown together on top of, what he thought, was a dresser. He found a flimsy pink and white lace thong and held it up gingerly, questioning Gerry with a raised black eyebrow.
“Cute. Must have been a blonde. Did you get her number?”
“I don’t remember.” Gerry went forward and felt a wave of nausea assault his senses. “Good God.” He fell back into bed and kicked off the one blanket that was covering him. He had on a pair of lounge pants on and that was enough heat.
“What did you do last night?” Sheridan asked as he stuffed the pair of panties into his pocket after double taking to make sure Gerry wasn’t watching.
“Do I look like I remember, you imbecile?!” His green eyes shined with disbelief and something near hatred.
Sheridan shook his head and looked into Gerry’s mirror that was only partially shown because of the pile of junk in front of it. He checked out his teeth and then ran his fingers through his dark hair.
“That’s too bad. Nights that you can’t remember are always the ones that are worth remembering.”
Gerry glared at Sheridan through one of his eyes. He felt like he couldn’t open the other. Sheridan finally turned to stare at him and his brown eyes widened two times larger than they were a few moments before.
“Maybe it is a good thing that you can’t remember.” Sheridan walked over quickly and tried to open his swollen eye. “Ouch!  Watch it!”
“Man, someone seriously did a number on you. Was this all in one punch?” Gerry pushed away his hand from his face, or at least attempted to.
“I thought that we already established that…”
“Right, right.” Sheridan leaned over to check his ear.
“What are you doing?” He questioned.
“Making sure that your brain is still intact.” Gerry dropped down on to his pillow with a groan. “Maybe it is a good thing that you can’t remember. I’m sure it would have been a painful memory.”
“It is painful now, you idiot!”
“You are so hostile in the morning.” Sheridan proclaimed as he got up from the bed and walked back over to his exit.
“Be ready in ten, will you? I’m making bacon and eggs. With coffee, black for you.”
After Gerry heard the sound of his bedroom door close, he groaned in agony and pulled the sheet over him and rammed his head into the pillow.
What of a hell of a way to start your birthday.

It was just an idea that was flipping around in my head.

Quick short story. Very interesting tho, i liked it, so i didn't mind the length. Anyway, if the story is good, it doesn't matter whether it's two lines, or two hundred. Good job.

Well, thank you! :)

I liked it, the only thing that sounded a bit weird is in my opinion the length of the answers of the sleeper... I have some experience and in those morning people often don't manage to put sounds toghether.

Otherwise, it reads out well.
