I have promised some to read some stuff - and I will. Hope you can be patient with me however since I'm really struggling to keep up with everything ATM.
For all of you who are waiting for me to take up on reading requests and for all of you who are waiting for more chapters of Io. I'm trying - but it's not working out too well at the moment. I'm very busy with my full-time work and pissy commuting hours. I'll try to read and write during weekends. Hopefully I'll have more time soon:)
World of Io just hit 1800 reads. Thank you all for helping me through this with your wonderful comments.
World of Io - Death resides in us all
What would you do if the savior refuses to save you, if the hero refuses to help. What happens when the hero has no heart?
An ancient soul is born again, forced into life to redeem his sins. Yet he does not want to live, he does not want to try again and fail.
In the wake of this soul's return an unlikely group set out to find him, determined to find a way to continue living.
What they find is more than they have bargained for, and less than what they need. The World is falling apart at the seams and time is wasting away.
Okay, so before you leave this page on account of your lack of interest in fantasy...I would like to try to convince you with the help of a couple of wonderful comments I've received so far;
I love reading this one because for the short while in each chapter I get sucked in and completely leave real life behind. Thank you for that, i love a good bit of escapism from time to time and this novel allows that so easily. Keep it up.
Brilliantly written, brilliant wordplay, brilliance through and through.
Captivating is what I can say. I can feel this is going to be a breath-taking write... I know so. It's poignant yet I felt this subtlety... Definitely gonna stick around. But first, I'd like to say: Hats off, thumbs up, keep penning.
Well wow. This was absolutely fantastic. I'm not usually a big fan of fantasy and, if I'm honest, I wasn't 100% enthusiastic about accepting this request, but I'm bloody glad I did now!
I really enjoyed this! I haven't read much fantasy, but nonetheless I really liked it. Your ability to tell a story is spot on! Awesome!
Thank you for all these wonderful words, and a big thanks to all of you who have shared your thoughts with me so far!
Another BIG thank you to M K Brown for helping me with edits, and providing awesome feedback!
Please read before you post a request.
If you want me to read something that you've created I almost always give it a try - if you're actually stating in your request that you may return the favor. Otherwise I think it's a bit rude. This does not apply to novel updates, however - if I have not stated that I would like updates, they will be removed from my page. Neither does it apply to those who frequently comment on my work!
I generally don't read out of obligation - I read out of fun, therefore I won't continue to read your novel if it doesn't catch me in the first chapter. This is also because I don't have an endless amount of time on my hands. So, please don't feel offended if I don't continue - because you may be great writers within your own genre!
Since I wanted you to read this first, (as I think it is common sense to do on others' sites) I'll give you a code word if you haven't been in contact with me before... so, if you want me to even consider your request please write down your favorite color within the request;)
Currently Reading (beyond first chapters)
Shadow of a Life by M K Brown
Ying and Yang by Baby Precious
Revolution: The 5th Dawn by Gus Sellars
By Grand Design by peacemaker06
Taste My Lies by saoirse989
The Twiceborn by WyldPatienz
I really recommend the stories that I'm currently reading - as I'm too time constrained to read on if I don't really love the story.
The list isn't complete at the moment, I do follow more novels than this:)
So a little about me
I'm a 26 year old girl/young woman/whatever from Sweden. I've been signing my posts with Io, but I've realized that this messes up the whole gender thing. So, you can call me Io, or you can call me Amy.
I've been an obsessive reader throuhout my teens and then later on. I tend to get completely swallowed by a story and don't let down the book until it is finished. So this thing on Booksie with chapters being posted irregularly or regularly is a completely new thing to me.
I've read ridiculous amounts of fantasy, but it's been awhile now since the last one. I've received some good recommendations though, so I might start reading - however, then you won't see me writing;)
I've just recently started writing. It's never been a real interest of mine as I've had so many others. However, this new world just opened up to me, and now I enjoy it immensely!
Among other things I do and like are; writing, playing and listening to music, riding (still love horses like a little girl), eating popcorn, hanging out with friends etc.
Hope you'll enjoy the world I'm building for my characters, and hopefully I'll learn even more about this whole writing thing:)
M K Brown's Story within a story contest
My very short little story The Lonely Ocean placed second:D
My short story Inside the Fence placed second in Frootloop's Apocalypse contest.
