I make my living with stories. Having studied them for decades I can say accurately that no one knows more about them than I do. It is a matter of looking into a topic that just about everyone else slides over like skaters on ice.Myths are a different matter. They have always fascinated me because my sense of comedy makes it difficult for me to take any of them seriously. And yet I know that myths are at the heart of the historical process. Tell me your myth and you will tell me how to control you. If I thought people were worth controllling I suppose I would be very dangerous.
