I'm a me! Panda!
grins* I couldn't resist. Who doesn't love Mario?
I've been writing since I was a teenager, on many different topics. This account is intended to explore fiction that focuses on the themes of family-both functional and dysfunctional-and in particular the structure of family groups we build for ourselves. I truly believe that you CAN pick your family-but once you pick them you're kind of stuck, whether there is blood between you or not.
Some of these stories will contain themes of discipline, including at times corporal punishment. No one will be beaten or tortured, and there will be absolutely no depictions of children being psychically disciplined-I find it squicky in fiction, and completely wrong in real life. Young adults and adults who already know right from wrong are a completely different story.
So you have been warned-Please don't read something you already know you won't enjoy. It won't make either of us happy.
What else about me? Well, I love fiction of all types, especially humor and graphic novels. My favorite book is a tie between, Good Omens, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistlestop Cafe, and Forest Gump. If you've only seen the movies of the last two, READ the book. So much more detailed and realistic, just better over-all. The movies are good too so that's saying something.
I love music...again I like some of everything. I've never understood people who only like hard rock, or only like the blues. It's all so good. I used to be able to say I didn't care much for pop, but the new folk-pop sound that's emerging is right up my alley, so there goes that. ;)
That's really all you need to know! Happy reading.
