I miss this site more than I can imagine, but I don't think I can ever come back to it. The person I was when I was on Booksie is not who I am now. I have different friends. My writing is different. The things that make me depressed are different. I don't read the sorts of books I read when I left this site, and I don't love the same foods and I don't see the world the same way and I don't have the same plans and ambitions and I don't listen to the same music and I don't talk to the same people. This Booksie account is nothing more than a preservation of who I was a couple of years ago, and looking through my comments and my interactions from two years ago, I am realizing how much my life has changed. How much I have changed. I've changed. I think I've lost myself. And it's okay if no one reads this. Better, actually.

I don't like Halloween. I used to love it but now it bothers me and I don't like the haunted trails where the men toting chainsaws chase you the plastic ghosts pop out around corners and make you jump. I dislike scary movies at midnight I think they plot to make us afraid. Of everything they want us to fear everything and i don't want to fear anything. I don't want to celebrate Halloween but these are the ways I celebrate my Halloween and I rot the smiling mouths of kids and their teeth fall out and yet they smile. Something's rotten.
