OCCUPATION

Poem by JADeAngelis
Posted: Aug 22, 2009
This is a sad but true poem.

I'm married with two children.

I write poetry and short stories.

My favourite genre is horror.

There is reason behind the trends in life, as I grew older I came to see and believe in that reason.

1. Marriage; to be able to give love and accept love keeps us human, sane, logical and gives us physical, emotional and spiritual exercise. It also eliminates the need to continue searching for sexual partners which ends that part of our lives allowing us to "hopefully" evolve into mature productive members of society.

The sharing of life together, experiencing every moment that we can with the one person we love and eventually leading to children.

2. Children; again to have someone to love and be loved by which is a necessary human dependancy. But honestly and personally to make an addition to the community/world with my "good" children with my "good" morals and ethics, etc.

I see people that I think do not act or live appropriate, who need help but will not accept it, who need to change but choose not to. These people the world can do without and the world belongs to the good and just people "first". Basic logic dictates that if the world is full of altruistic selfless people it would be better off, people indeed need to treat each other better, I want my children to be those good people.

3. I write stories and short poetry; writing is a great form of communication not only to the outside world but more importantly to ourselves.

4. Horror; I know the world is full of real horror and I wish it weren't I only find fictional horror entertaining because experiencing it makes me appreciate my horror-less life even more.
