I am 22 year old student at Kent State University in Ohio and am finishing up my BA in English with a Writing minor (focus in Creative Writing, but also Comparative and Analytical Writing). I've been writing poetry since the eigth grade, which is a common story. There is something about adolecence that breeds poets. I started writing fiction in the tenth grade and have several unfinished manuscripts. My focus between poetry and fiction is always switching--currently I am writing a lot of poetry.

In fiction I have interest in writing Young Adult literature within the genre of Urban Fantasy. My inspirations in this genre are Holly Black, Stephenie Meyer, J.K. Rowling, and Annette Kurtis Klause.

I am of the opinion that Jane Austen was a master at both form and content, she is the ultimate standard.

I am currently not published, save for websites similar to this one, but I am putting together (slowly but surely) a manuscript in poetry for future publication.
