I have given up writing novels and am now writing a screenplay. I wish I had discovered my preference for screenwriting before I spent a fortune on novel writing how-to's. If you are interested in learning how to write a screenplay, check out Viki King's HOW TO WRITE A MOVIE IN 21 DAYS.

I have been computer-less for at least 8 months. Now that I'm online again I plan to use Booksie daily to read other's works and do some of my own writing. I decided to make a short story from part of The Vampire Clan so that I might be able to submit it to a publisher soon.

Hi, I took a long break from both Booksie and writing. Going to start back to writing on The Vampire Clan again but I might not be posting anything until after I have it ready to submit for publishing. I do intend to read and leave comments on other people's work, however. Would also like to say that I'm looking into The Snowflake Method of writing to learn how to approach working on and completing my novel.

A popular literary agent said that a good writer only believes the critics.

I have decided that I'm not putting anything on Booksie unless it royally sucks. So if you think "The Endless Days of Summerland" sucks, you're correct, it does. You have no desire to steal the sucky fan-fiction I wrote, right? Mission accomplished.

I'm going to take a break from Booksie for awhile and focus on writing my book. When it's ready to be submitted to publishers then I plan to return here to read and comment on other's writing.

I have written an article about Writing Tips - check it out please and tell me what you think.

I am now writing at least 4 hours a day. I no longer feel fear when I sit down to write. All I do is start and the ideas come. I also spend 1-4 hours reading per day. I don't judge my work as bad and then give up any more. I know that what I first write will not be the finished product. Although I don't have a huge vocabulary, I do have a fairly decent vocabulary and a thesaurus and that is sufficient. I also look at "Word of the Day" at Dictionary.com every day.
