I. Meet the Author

Welcome to my page! I'm Ra, and it's been quite some time since I've been on this site. Fortunately, I decided that my hiatus has gone on long enough, and I am returning to Booksie. This time I have some new policies as well as new stories to share. A lot of my stories are blank; I deleted most of them a few months ago, and I am working on restoring them. Thanks for your patience.

I developed a passion for writing when I was very young, and the passion has blossomed into an obsession. I am always writing; I write poems, songs, stories, and I am currently in the middle of writing my first novel(s). I would appreciate any feedback you can give me, negative or positive, as long as it is constructive.

What I want to tell all aspiring authors--do not give up. Writing takes effort and constant improvement. It is natural to be proud of something that you have written, but it is even better still to be proud of how much you've improved. While I am always proud of the work that I have done, I am even more proud to see that I have grown over the years, and that I am continuing to grow. There is nothing worse in this world than complacency; the act of knowing that one can improve and yet chooses not to work on it is quite disheartening. All of you have potential--tap into it and see how well you do as the years go by.

II. Reading List

From now on, I will only accept five reading requests at a time. They will be posted on my site at all times as well as openings.

1) Light House of Mallard Edge by Jonathan McQuillan

2) The Black Lake by Future Author

3) Escape by Rose Burg

4) Light Shows the Truth of Lies by desjane1

5)  Free Space

III. List of Works

(Blue print = new/updated)

A Life in a Day

(Realistic fiction, short story)

Sometimes people just grow apart. Lisebeth knows this, but will she be able to make it through? More importantly, will the ones after her make the same mistakes?

Lonesome

(Fantasy, flash fiction, ongoing project)

An angel breaks the Covenant and chooses to live differently than his brothers.

Time Ticks By

(Science fiction, short story)

Margaret and Michael live together and die together, as they share an unbreakable bond.

Here Once Again

(Paranormal, romance, ongoing novel)

Laureline had never believed in magic until she met Candan. It was instant attraction. But there is something sinister about Candan, something that scared Laureline to no end. How can she escape him when he is wherever she turns? Better yet, how can she escape her feelings for him when he overwhelms her like he does?

Days of Winter

(Post-apocalyptic, short story)

Hollow Dane's world is shattered- with the population rapidly decreasing and the cancer rates growing, she struggles to find hope in the world. When she meets Sadie Welfel, however, she is given a task which must be fulfilled.

After Hours

(Horror, short story)

Cerrah Bryce is injured badly and needs medical attention, but when she and her father, Leigh, arrive at the local hospital, it is empty. A series of horrible events cascade into one endless night of Hell...

The Cause

(Fantasy, dystopia, ongoing novel)

Solomon Grant, as the son of the President, is expected to obey the strict limitations set by the Seleucian government, along with the other citizens of the country. With his key, his eternal soul, hung around his neck for all to see, there is no way to hide the crimes he has committed. After the brutal execution of his family, ordered by Serian Rice, Solomon seeks refuge in a rebel camp. Serian will stop at nothing to apprehend Sol and Sol is left with no choice but to bring down the corrupt Seleucian government once and for all...

IV. Policies

Reviews: I give constructive reviews and pride myself on being thorough; know that when you post a reading request on my wall that I will give you honest reviews. Please do not be offended by my suggestions, as they are meant to help you improve upon your work.

As for reviewing my work, I appreciate constructive comments as well. I respect your work, so please respect mine while giving me honest feedback.

Reading List: As stated in section II, I will only be accepting five requests at a time. If a space opens up, you will see it on my page. What I enjoy most are fiction novels and poetry; I am not interested in reading erotica nor fanfiction. Please do not crowd my wall with requests, and post only if there are spaces open. As of right now, my reading list is cleared, so all requests from the past are null and void.

Thank you for taking the time to read my wall.

Best of luck to you,

Ra
