I am putting a hold on the continuation of the Lost Cabin. I want to take a look at the story line and perhaps focus more on the adoption issue and get involved with the children's point of view. I have a new outlined developed and will begin updating what I've previously completed.
I am just a old country boy looking to write and tell an entertaining story and with any luck expand to writing a book someday. I started a childrens novel a few years ago and put it aside to expand my career and be a Father. However, now that my children are older I have a little more time available now to play around with writing. I like to write about simple times when right was right and the good guy or woman always won. I'm extremely conservative and believe very strong in the American way of life. Yes, growing up with John Wayne and Louis had a huge impact in my lifestyle.
I like old trucks and what we call old iron (old tractors) and enjoy operating either. I grew up working around our home and have worked in some form or another since I was 12 years old.
I look to learn from each of you along the way and I look forward to reading your work. I enjoy writing about my life growing up in rural America. I am a huge John Wayne fan and I've read just about every Louis L'Amour and Zane Gray book published. I also enjoy Bernard Cornwell's work in historical fiction dealing with England's war with France, our own revolutionary war and our civil war. Bernard's work brings a lot of action and mixes historical data, it's to bad history classes couldn't have been as exciting. I enjoy reading English authors, perhaps it's the way they write.
Being new to Booksie I am amazed how much talent is floating around in cyber space. However, I am enjoying reading various works and find this site to be very entertaining, or maybe I just need to get a life.
I appreciate constructive comments and thank you in advance for taking the time to read my work. I will always try to leave some comment if I read your story. I am no expert and will not begin to tell anyone how they should write. but I will always try to remain supportive and constructive.
