Emily

This is a story I wrote to act as a 'filler' for a short story by James Joyce, included in Dubliners. The base story was 'A Painful Case' and I chose to 'fill in' the account from Emily Sinico's point of view. It was the hardest 500 words or so I have ever written, mainly because I have quite an excessive style of writing, and having to inmitate Joyce's absolute minimal perfection was an extremely difficult task. I'd be excited to see what you think of this story, if you've read Dubliners or not!
