MAmber Conrad's Challenge. She provided a title for a poem and you had to write the poem with the given amount of lines.
Title given: My Carnations Are Not Roses (I really liked this title by the way)
Requirement: 8 stanzas or 36 lines
It's the 36 lines - and it came out exactly at 36 lines when I wrote it and I wasn't even counting. Not bad, eh?
All right. Just a side note - I took a general meaning from the title that applies to the poem. My Carnations Are Not Roses - which to me makes me think, okay I'm not your classic cliche girl with roses (which I'm not, so that worked out well haha). So the poem focuses partially on that theme of being *different*. But since I was in the mood for a love poem, I combined the general message with romance.
I wrote this completely in the moment. It just came to me and I had to start writing. So it may not be spectacular, but I personally like it.
Enjoy ^^
