No Haven

My current goal is to write 10 short character stories. The 10 characters are part of a much bigger story, but I want to get to know them more so I am writing about each one before main events take place that bring them all together.

My first story is entitled Gabriel, I've had a few people read it and tell me it was good. Although I was told it was very 'lovey dovey' and 'cheesy' until it got near the end. I embraced the lovey dovey cheesiness and was actually quite proud I was able to get such a reaction out of someone...even if it wasn't the one I was looking for. The story needs work, so here it is. With all it's cheese and romance.
