"No, not again Michael!" I yelled as I scratched at his face.
"Shut up you stupid bitch!" He yelled back at me as he slapped me across my left cheek. I cried. I laid on the couch in agony holding my face with my hand.

"Every fucking time you come home drunk. We get into a fight. You always hurt me. Do you think I want this. I love you. I just don't think I can be dealing with this all the time," I said calmly letting out my silent tears as he stumbled into his bedroom. He came back, he had something in his hand.

"I'm sorry," he said sobbing loudly. He pulled the thing out from behind his back and raised it up to his head. BANG!

"NO!" I yelled as I ran to where he lie with the puddle of blood forming around his head.

"Baby, baby! Come on! You can't do this to me!" I screamed at the top of my lungs and I slapped him gently hoping he would wake up. I held his head in my hands. He was gone. I placed his head gently on the ground, then I ran to get my phone from my purse. Then I realized I had left it in my car.

"Fuck!" I wiped the tears from my face, smearing the blood near my eyes. I darted out the apartment, everything was blurry from the tears in my eyes. It was dark out, considering it was barely 3 o'clock in the morning. As I ran down the stairs I saw a neighbor walking up to his apartment, but I was too panicked to ask for his help. When I reached the car I was shaking terribly, I dropped the keys. I was broken. My night couldn't go any better, then I drop the keys. I pick them up and unlock the car door. I couldn't find my phone, so I ran back to the apartment with my purse.

"I believe there was a murder in my apartment complex, 25881 Main Street," said the neighbor that I had seen when I was running to get my purse.

"No! What are you doing?" I yelled at him and took his phone from him.

"Get away from me!," he yelled, "the cops are on their way.

"No, no, no, no, no." I repeated as I leaned on the wall and I slid down and wrapped my arms around my legs. I looked up after a few minutes.

"He committed suicide." I said trying to hold back more of the tears.

"I-I'm sorry." the guy said, I could tell he really was by the tone of his voice.

"Don't be." I said, then I looked into the house and started crying even harder. Then the guy closed the door. I stood up from the spot I was in.

"He was all I had left." I said leaning on the stair railing next to him.

"You don't have any relatives?" he asked concerned.

"No, my Mom passed away when I was two from suicide and my Dad passed away last year from a drug overdose." I said wiping more of the tears away from my face.

"How old are you?" he asked looking out into the street.

"16." I said peeling the split ends from my hair.

"Wow, you're really young, how old was he?"

"22."

"Was he your boyfriend?"

"Yeah, I met him at the church my father and I used to go to, I met him 2 years ago, we've been dating for 5 months."

"What's your name?" he asked taking out a cigarette from his shirt pocket.

"Sydney. Yours?"

"Michael." he answered.

"So was his." I looked at him.
