The Way We Live

There comes a point in life
When you stop watching your back,
And waiting for all the bad things in life to find us.
If we hold back,
Than we can loose more than if we give things a try.
In the future do you want to look back and remember all the fun others had?
The fun you could have joined in on but were too scared?
The answer is no.
We want to leave our mark on the wall.
To show others that we had a great life.
Experienced it all,
Seen every sight,
Climbed every mountain,
And made the most out of life.
We want to have proof
That our life really happened,
That it was not a dream.
To leave a diary behind
Or a Scrapbook of memories.
To be able to show others our past,
And to help us remember the good times
When we see our past through hazy eyes
Even though those days may be long gone,
And the present totally different.
Looking back will still put a smile on your face,
Make you glad you had such a great life.
If you have ever experience anything as great as this,
Then you know you have lived.
Truly lived.
Not the mumbo jumbo they talk about on TV,
When you do the same thing 24/7, 365 days a year.
No, the kind of living where you can’t help but laugh,
Your caught up in the moment
And you just want to pause your life.
To make every second as great as this.
