Those Brief Moments Of Life

Poetry By: elleswish
Literary fiction

How to you describe living? Really living. Those brief moments are breath taking. You cannot describe them except that you are addicted to those moments, crave them even.

Those Brief Moments Of Life
By Elleswish
The highest feeling one can reach,
A moment no one can take from you.
It is filled with pure bliss,
It will hold your breath
And make you never want to let go.
So hard to describe,
But yet so easy to feel.
You will look back and remember these moments.
Cherish them for all eternity.
The past doesn't matter,
Either does the future.
All that matters is that we're here,
In this moment, together as one.
Living and breathing all the same.
We are all the same in those brief moments of life,
And there is no judgment.
You do not measure age by numbers,
But yet by how great they have lived.
One that is as old as the dinosaurs, can be as young as a child.
The world is full of these people,
They don't know what they're missing out on.
When you're high on life;
It doesn't matter what you're doing tomorrow,
Or the weeks to follow.
The real world will set in soon,

But till then we shall just savor the moment.
