I just let my mind wander and whatever ended up in there is fine with me

The Silent Sky

I find myself gazing upward, taking note of the uncommon bluish gray clouds

There is no hint of a breeze, not even a visible flutter of any stationary leaf

The setting of the sky reminds me of old time black and white photos,

so serene with lazy day activity and ancient brick buildings

I leisurely meander, with nowhere being my destination

I am aware of the dull duskish shade on the horizon

Is a day that appears cold, but feels mildy warm

Maybe it will rain, and add element to this walk

Nonetheless, sky remains uneventful

So nice I could watch forever

Other days will bring weather

but not today, for it will

keep silent above

for me below
