Sat by the window,

The wind blowing heavy,

I need to be patient,

I need to be steady.

Today is the day I walk out of that door,

Like nothing has happened,

Nothing at all.

The love of my life had to sadly depart,

But out of that sorrow,

She still lives in my heart.

No use in me crying,

I have to me free,

I know that my darling would want it to be.

I place down the flowers,

She is the one I will always miss,

But I buckle up my sadness,

And lay down a kiss.

You taught me to cherish,

You taught me to love,

And now that you're gone,

I stare up above.

I look all the time,

Almost every day,

And I hope for you're safty,

This hope for you I do pray.

I cherished you're wisdom,

I cherished the love.

You are now peaceful,

Resting above.
