What insatiable craving is this?
To drown one’s plight by alteration.
Such a fickle perception abounds!
Meticulously crafted sentences, void of verbs,
Irradiant with lusty adjectives, nouns of
Enchantment and adverbs of redemption,
Coalesce into tales of woe, falling upon reticent ears.
A chalice, emptied of its precious nectar,
Clutched in the fiercest of grips.
Paralyzed by what lies beyond its release.
Oh, what insatiable craving is this?
