Date number three
Dude, I don’t understand
After two we were through
Your persistence was supposed to stop
You were supposed to get the plot
Don’t you understand?
Your efforts are a waste
You should put your awesomeness
Into another chase
Find a girl who feels like you
Find a woman who likes you
You really are sweet
But you are wasting all these treats on me
You have excelled again
As with nothing else to do
I accepted your billionth offer
To spend some time with you
That restaurant for lunch was grand
And then you took me to the sand
That beach was amazing
And the horse ride inspiring
Did you time that sunset
To be beyond the realm of dreams?
Then the walk back under perfect stars
With the incredibly clear brightness of Mars
Did you know about that impromptu group?
Who set up the promenade dance floor?
Did you plan that we would win
As we danced under the moon?
Lying on the bonnet of your car
Seeing that shooting star…
I wished you could find a woman
Who will love you for all you are
