These literary vignettes contain perspectives taken from differing points in each author’s life. Whatever they may be, all persons have their story to tell. Whether the story is of a meager and humble life, one of vast technical expertise, one filled with ‘Jerry Springer’ drama, or a life filled with tragedy, we all share the desire to be heard and understood. We all hold the wish to be recognized for who we are, for our accomplishments, for the challenges we have faced, for the experiences we have endured, and in the end, to be respected by others. People’s life experiences, perceptions, and desires are what can teach us, and what can inspire each of us to unleash the greatness that we all hold inside.
