Mark Goodin is a writer and producer with nearly 30 years experience in congressional and presidential politics, investigative journalism, external public affairs and strategic advertising.  His most recent work was a collaboration with Single Malt Media partner Brian Kelly, in which the two produced and oversaw completion of InJustice, an award-winning documentary film about greed and corruption in America’s lawsuit industry that aired in 2011 on the Reelz Channel.

Prior to his involvement in filmmaking, he served in a variety of capacities in and around national politics, including as a senior advisor and communication specialist for some of the nation’s largest corporations and trade associations on issues as varied as health care and pharmaceuticals, broadcast licensing and copyright legislation, defense and national security issues, marketing, and crisis communications.

Mark Goodin also served in senior capacities for two presidents – Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush – and worked for seven years in the United States Senate as a communication strategist on a variety of high-profile issues, including the confirmation of three associate justices and one Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.  Prior to that, he was an award-winning investigative and political reporter for two newspapers in the southeast.

He has been a visiting lecturer on politics at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of South Carolina and at the Institute of Politics, John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.  He has also served as a member of the Council on American Politics at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and spent one semester as a guest professor of communications at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia.
