I am a single mom of two girls ages 12 and 7, and we reside in Northwest Indiana. A devistating illness left me without work, and without a financial means to take care of my family until I was able to be classified as disabled. During that time, I discovered that writing temporarily took me away from my worries, and I gained a better understanding of myself and the world around me.

I hope that through my writings that my readers will get a sense of who I am, and how I feel about the people, places, and situations that have influenced. me. I am aspiring to compile enough material to create a book called 'Stepping on Life's Cracks' full of poetry and passages about my life. It is through that book that I hope to leave a legacy for my children.

Other than writing, my hobbies include scrap booking and card making, and I am also learning how to read braille so that I can communicate with a family member who is legally blind. I also have a love for the theatre.
