In The eight grade my class went to new york city. The field tip was a day trip. We had to wake up at 6:00 to get to the bus. When I woke up I was extremely exited and nervous at the same time. It felt weird going far away with my school. During the bus ride I began to feel confortable and I became anxious to see New York City for the first time. The only time I had a chance to see new york was in T.V shows or movies. Now it was my chance to see it my self while driving we passed many other cities every time I saw buildings I would get exited and look out my window trying to find New York buildings. But finally we arrived in New York. Our first stop was teardrop monument.
The monument had a huge tear drop and around the teardrop there were names of people who died in 9/11. While I was at teardrop monument there was an incredible view of the city and the statue of liberty. The city was absolutely amazing and beautiful. After visiting teardrop monument we when to Ellis island we studied about emigration and how he immigrants came here in the 1900s. After Ellis island we finally got to go to the statue of liberty.
We finally got to go to the statue of liberty. To go to the statue we had to take the ferry. The Ferry gave us another great view of the city. We finally arrived at the statue of liberty. The statue was extremely tall and beautiful. We only had a short time on the island. I got to walk abound the island and took a lot of photos of the statue and the buildings surrounding it.
After the long day of adventure and touring it was finally time to leave the magnificent city and head home. The field trip was one of the best field trips I have ever taken. The trip showed me what a large city is like and the constant activity that is going on. The main purpose of the trip was to learn more about Ellis Island and to actually see it. But I was mostly taken back on the beauty of the city. The bus ride home felt very quick. I finally got home tired and ready to share my stories the next morning.
