Fun Events

My best friend is also my boyfriend. I’ve found that when you’re with someone, to be friends is first. To be really good friends is next, and then to become best friends in the whole wide world! No, I don’t go around scrawling our names on notebooks, “M & A, BFF 4ever!” or anything like that. Just hanging around with him is just so fun. We can be goofy together, enjoy 80’s music and sing along, play tackle without it leading anywhere, go to the movies and throw popcorn at the people on cell phones…
For my birthday last year, we went to a Poison concert. Yeah, girls, I saw Bret Michaels up close and personal! Actually, I don’t find him all that attractive. I just enjoy the music. What made this an awesome birthday gift is the fact that he doesn’t really care for their music. At all. He wanted to do this specially for me. Awwww, how sweet, eh?
So, we also went to the Styx/Boston concert last Friday night. It was soooo awesome! I’m more of a Boston fan here (can only do the progressive rock for so long, ya know?), but I tell you…Styx totally rocked out of this world!
The important thing here, is that we have fun together. The fun events we do together strengthens our relationship. We like to go bowling, to concerts (of course!), take a drive in the country, play Scrabble (he beats me every time!), or just simply cuddle on the couch.

So, thanks, Avril360 for this challenge. I’m not sure if this was what you were hoping for, but it’s me and it’s what I felt in my heart to write about.

thats awesome ^_^ how cute!
Its interesting how everyones definitions of friendship would be different. i was imagining writing something like this, and turns out ours were sooo different! Not saying AT ALL that either opinions were bad or anything like that. what im trying to say is that its important to have different kinds of friendship than the kind where you jsut scribble on eachothers binders in class " LYK3 OMg. Thanks, courtney. Yeah, there's all different types of friendships. Lucky me, my best friend is also my man in my life.

^_^ oh wow MA, what an amazing friend/lover.
does he happen to have a brother in southwest MN.? lol
---haha, no but seriously, I have had such close friends like this and at times they have become more than friends. I too know that the best relationship has to start out being great friends, to me it is the only way ^_^ this was fantastic to read :)

Nope, no brother up there. Besides.... you know how it is with kids: Left and Right, total opposites most of the time! So glad you enjoyed this Katie. It was a fun write.

Great job MA!! It was fascinating to read something real about you. Very enjoyable!

Okay listen. MAmber... so you won't tell what the 'M' stand for!!.... You must not like the name. You'll change when you get older but until then, you should have a guessing contest!! Let me be first! I'll take a few guesses. Let's see... 'M' could stand for...

Mabel, Mercedes, Mildred, Melodie, Melanie, Mardell, Muriel, Maureen, Minnie, Mona, Monica, Madeline

Oh well... just looking for a little fun!! LOL (^_^)

Have a great day.....Jerry

LOL
I'll never tell!
NEVER!

It's not that it's a horrid name, I just don't care for it too much. And, no, it's none of the above. You can keep on guessing, but I'll never let you know. I am older, but I don't want to go through all the crap of having a name change. (I changed my name when I accidentally married, and then changed my last name back to my maiden name already anyway)

Oh, and by the way, there's a few 'real' things in my profile about me. 'Clifford and Spiderman...' is one of them, also I have a journal entry... Oh, and my 'Goodbye Blue Skies" (which I haven't worked on much lately)

Anyway, Jerry. Thanks for the great comment. And, if you want to have a guessing contest, I'm all for it. I just won't tell you if you ever guess right.

A very original piece. I love it. A good definition of what friendship really is. An enjoyable read.

Thanks, whitehart. I'm glad this touched you.

That was nice, it reminded me of my wife and I when we first met. We were friends first...and then...now we are married 19 years and we act the same way as we did when we were just friends, not bestest friends, like we are now. Thanks for sharing. Ted
