I am on a exotic island Our excursion took us on spiral winding roads
ballast paved streets
across cool emerald hills
and nature's adventure.
In this native community
of flora and fauna covering tops and slopes
old cannons and forts are still in place
to protect the harbor;
legends of pirates, of bluebirds and blackbird
fill the residents' senses and soul.
Palm trees and sea grape trees align
on shorelines of sauve and soft sand
to provide shade from the blazing sun.
Then the pretty turquoise waters
around the island crosses quite caves,
beautiful reefs
deepens to where turtles and fishes
swim and leap in the waves.
Wonderful elemental envirolment
of corals and lush forests of sea plants
grow at the base of the ocean.
On beautiful white and dreamy beaches
in the delightful warm of the sun
and tropical breezes
locals come together to party
sing and dance to music of calypso and raggae.
