The Innocent Mind

Tiny clear crystals melt on my tongue

Jack Frost kisses us, we blush in return

The simplicity of being innocent showed its self

With the sudden blink of an eye it's gone

We find ourselves staring at what was once our lively dog

In the road she lay

Peaceful without a heartbeat

Screaming at the top of our lungs my brother and I race to the front door

My step dad burst though the door

We told the horror that just entered our innocent mind
