A tribute to the Twin Cities of Minnesota, but more specifically Minneapolis.

These walls of blue and gray
cement giants built where they lay
dark streets with a shining haze
This city is my heart's maze
When I'm up high or down low
no matter where I go
whether I settle or I roam
This city is my home
When it is sunny or when it rains
When I'm in love or in pain
Whether I am rich, whether I am poor
This city gives no less, nor more
The day as bright as night
under the glowing lights
with as much hope as fear
This city if in one way near
Filled with fire fly bugs and artificial stars
The flying whizzing shooting cars
it is utter madness
but that is what this city is known for best
With a fast tempo or with a steady pace
I will travel in and out of place
but I will always be a part
even when this city is only in my heart
