You disturbed my very being
I didn’t want to care
You smothered my self-control
You made me care
You muddied my thinking
Knowing not why I care
You showed vulnerability
Desiring I care
You moved the goal-posts
Forcing me to care
You left me alone
Leaving me to care
Silent questions
Couldn’t show I cared
I almost hate you
Because I care
I almost love you
No right to care
