Memoir

I wrote this when I found out one BOOKSIE family member, whose works I became a fan of, left the site. :-(

He loves free write--a prose. His thoughts are always deep and sensible.

He used to read and comment on my stuff even before I'd ask him to. I loved his comments. Those were always sincere.

Read on and voice out your comments. Thanks!^^

I come to your home uninvited;

Door uncloses and windows open;

Queer silence welcomes my invasion;

I hear my voice echoes back to me.

* * *

I feel your spirit but not your soul;

Now your mind is close so is your heart;

Rendezvous of my sweet obsession,

Traces of visits are dusted off.

* * *

The likes of my heart’s passion are gone;

Pieces of treasure are gone with you;

I sneak around barren realm once more;

With freedom and familiarity.

Amazing work here, jadey. It's so tender and beautiful..it even made me sad thinking about people who have moved away, etc. I bet your friend would be honored that you wrote such a poem about him. :) ~ Susan

Thanks, Susan. I always appreciate your being able to comment. Godbless you always. ^^

Jadey, for some reason the first stanza reminded me of Alanis Morresette’s (sp?) 'Uninvited', this though wasn't the feelings nearer the end. Sorry your friend left, I know how it feels to miss friends here on Booksie. This though was a lovely poem, yours always are! :) ~ Nixie

I know that he's into new venture. Wherever he is, I always wish him luck.

Alanis Morresette? BTW, I love some of her songs. :-) Thanks, Nix! ^^

Sad, but sweet.
I've had a few people leave here, whom I treasured as well. Hopefully to return someday, but I suppose we have to do what feels right.
Nice write.

Sometimes it hurts a bit but that's life. Perhaps, there's something more in store for him outside Booksie. The best thing that I can do is wish him luck. Thanks! ^^
