Whilst under a February's night Sky; Whitman came to mind.

Poetry By: LyraHydraComa
Memoir

…Under February nights sky; Whitman comes to mind
second slice of pie graciousness
affords me comfortable aims
on an Airy eve where reclining
amidst “Leaves of Grass”
display of spacious claims
leads me to pipe smoke ponder
on the wonderment of
many pages;
“amber waves of gray?”
Is it too soon for a June display, for my boots lay beside me
on a riverbank, beneath a Dusk and Starry skyline.
Laying hear quoting Whitman and Homer
With fervor as if I was smiting the Shepard
in Tennessee, Memphis Perhaps?
or in a Camden stockyard.
Nurse me Walt!
I curse you if you don’t.
Eyes toward a Gemini star
With my Dog by my side…Would you have it any other way?

a second slice of pies' graciousness

grantsme comfortable aims

on an Airy eve whilst' reclining

amidst "Leaves of Grass 's

displays of spacious claims.

leading me to pipe smoke ponder

on the wonderment of

many pages;

"Amber waves of gray?"

Is it too soon for a June display? For my boots lay beside me

on a riverbank, beneath a Dusk and Starry skyline.

Laying here quoting Whitman and Homer

With fervor as if I was smiting the Shepard

in Tennessee, Memphis, Perhaps?

or in a Camden stockyard.

Nurse me Walt!

I curse you if you don't.

Eyes toward a Gemini star

Canis Major the Panorama…Would you have it any other way?
