Farewell and Goodbye

Memoir

A friend in need is a friend in deed, that’s what a wise man said,Where is that friend when my tears have soaked my pillow and chilled my bed?

This time was not like any other before,
As he stood and heard his close friend slam that last door…

All those lies of friendship she once talked about,
My trust in her I thought I should never doubt!

She spoke words that cut so deep inside,
I wish there was any way for my ears to hide!

A girl she was, made of pure hatred and stone,
And she kept pushing to break my dignity's every bone!

An unrelenting soul, so hard to please,
There is no way this pain could ease!

Betrayed and ill with disgust for all those times we shared,
And somehow I knew all along that she never really cared!

Sorrow overwhelms me in ways I never knew,
Wishing this painful reality turns out to be untrue!

Yet as I stare into this cold and lifeless screen in front of me,
I realize that through it all, we could never ever be…

A friend in need is a friend in deed, that's what a wise man said,
Where is that friend when my tears have soaked my pillow and chilled my bed?

This time was not like any other before,
As he stood and heard his close friend slam that last door…
