Poetry By: Mistress of Word Play
Memoir

The finger touches the paper and traces the outline. Softly canvassing images appear of dusk and the sunshine.

The finger touches the paper
and traces the outline.
Softly canvassing images appear
of dusk and the sunshine.

A moment released to sighs
as she lingers on the grass.
A wistful smile that belies
those times she did pass.

Trapped here upon a canvas
forever to haunt her mind
a glimpse through a looking glass
of a childhood left behind.
