She Pens, Life's Stage

She writes the verse upon a page.
It tells of sunshine and the rain.
There she is constructing life's stage
building it from laughter and her pain.

Included in the text she writes
are life's smiles and life's woes.
She scribes of heartaches and love's delights.
She jots down feelings, her story grows.

Finally she stops. Her pen does pause.
She thinks of things she should omit
maybe this word, perhaps that clause.
She shrugs. The piece is ready to submit.
