Barley
You sit still on my lap I cuddle you,
A small brown mutt that is you,
You run round the house like a lunatic,
When feed time comes your fussy and just peck,
So I give you chicken or lamb bits,
Because you’re the best dog and I love you to bits.
You take away my sorrow, and loneliness
Never had a dog like you before
A mind of your own,
But so loving and giving,
You are always there,
Ask nothing of me,
Yet you are the best and most faithful Friend to me
