DON'T TAKE HIM AWAY
After the tears had stopped
I just wanted them to know I loved them both so
I then picked up the phone,
Phone In hand
I phoned my dear brother today,
He seemed a little strange
While I was chatting away,
I spoke about Christmas
Making plans for the day,
He lives in Harwick
Ninety six miles away,
I then spoke to Ann
His wife and my friend,
She too seem strange
When talking today,
I asked if there was a problem
I felt she did not want to say,
However with tears down the Phone
She said he has cancer below,
I cried and said
“Do you want me to come?”
She said “not today but when he goes into Hospital”
Heart in my mouth tears streaming away.
I said “JUST REMEMBER I AM ONLY A PHONE CALL AWAY”.
After chatting a little more,
We said our farewells
My tears flowed and I prayed,
I LOVE MY BROTHER LORD PLEASE
DON’T TAKE HIM AWAY.
Please let him get through
This and see the light of DAY.

Sent flowers to Ann
Saying “I HOPE THIS BRIGHTENS YOUR DAY
I AM ONLY A PHONE CALL AWAY
LOVE TO YOU BOTH ALWAYS xx”
