When I was a child I played hopscotch
I even jumped with a skipping rope.
There was not much TV
It was black and white
Yet on TV I remember
Pandy plus Bill and
My Favourite was the wooden
tops with spotty dog.
We also road our bicycles and swung on swings
Climb trees and had mud fights,
Plus played hide and
Played netball and went swimming
Fun was had by
Frilly dresses were worn to Birthday
Ribbons in our
We had games galore,
Pass the parcel, pin the tail on the donkey,
Of cause Musical chairs.
Gone are all those
For its so different now
With all the world and the technology
Computers in our
Still it's great to have them memories
To tell as we grow old.
