THE GIFT OF LOVE
It is a gift we can not hold,
It is a gift we can not buy,
It’s the gift of love,
Always here inside,
Emotions buried,
Desires with held,
Fear of trusting,
We protect this love,
Deep with in,
Our hearts shell.
With love brings patience,
Our love rejoices in the right,
True love is not jealous or boastful,
It makes us kind,
With love in heart,
It never insists on its own way,
Protected within us,
Just waiting to flourish,
Like the bud of a rose,
Slowly wanting to bloom,
When given in haste,
It’s thrown back in our face,
Bringing heartache and sorrow,
Others not appreciating its worth,
So remember loves honest
True from the heart,
Give it slowly let it bloom and grow,
For you only have one heart,
Do not let others tear it apart,
You will know when to share it,
For they understand,
These true feelings buried inside
Will walk with you side by side,
For they will flourish and bloom like the rose,
Showing you love shared together,
Brings Truth and strength
And will nurture its growth.
