You plant a seed
Watch it grow
Nurture it as the seasons go,
The seed it grows
Into a small Tree
With tender branches
And delicate leaves,
Years go by the tree grows high
Turns to maturity
With patience, love and Sun,
A true friendship like I have
With you has grown
Just like the seed,
Now our friendship now, has reached 33 years.
We have sailed through stormy seas
Birth, grief, pain, Divorces and tears,
You are always there for me,
As I am there for you,
We met at work years ago,
Our friend ship then started to grow,
You’re the Best Friend anyone could have,
I just thought you should know,
Our friend ship is precious
And will carry on,
We will memorise, laugh, and cry,
Together when we are old,
Tell stories to our grand kids
So our lives will linger on.
Ruth you and I
Know what true friend ship is
We feel it in our hearts,
It will mature like the tree
AND GO ON! AND ON!
