Shadows
With just my tears for company
I try to find my home,
but on the way I find no warmth.
I find I'm all alone.
So I sit alone in this lonely room,
too weak to even smile,
the shadows stare at me with pity,
try to hold my hand for a while.
No one to comfort me but shadows
who find my touch too cold,
they pity me in my lonely room,
too cold to be consoled.
The shadows of tears that drown my eyes,
and spill into into my mind,
mean I can't even see the words that I write
so I sit
alone and blind.
